This manuscript group is an assortment of small collections, which range in size from a single page to one or two volumes of documents.

Scope and Content Notes

The Manuscript Miscellany papers are housed in two archival boxes. This collection is constantly expanding, and includes items such as letters written by Carl Sandburg, Upton Sinclair, and George Bernard Shaw, a day book recorded by the J.W. & S.G. Kuntz Mill in Troutville, PA from 1899-1925 and a War Ration Book from the Second World War. Also, included is a collection of World War I handwritten letters dating 1918-1919. These letters were written by a William Phillips (305th Sanitary Train), to his family in Indiana, Pennsylvania which convey his experiences and activities during World War I.
