Biographical Note

John Ghizzoni was President of District #2 of the United Mine Workers of America from 1950 to 1962. Most of his professional papers are included with the District #2 collection (MG 52, Series IV). Material in his possession relating to his career as an organizer and district president were dispersed following his death.
