Letter from Sergeant Joseph Porter Lintner

from William Gustin Lowry (Gus)

            The  additional letter from Logan R. Moorhead's Great Uncle, Sergeant Joseph Porter Lintner is being added here with the previous Lowry Letters. He served with the 56th Pennsylvania Volunteers and was severely wounded at the battle of 2nd Manassas/Bull Run and received a medical discharge. L.R. Moorhead visited and conversed with him several times in the late 1920’s at his farm house, 154 Lintner Rd., Blairsville, Pa. He died in 1931 at the age of 93 and was buried in Blairsville cemetery.
